Introducing SemiXperts, refurbished semiconductor equipment and service
SemiXperts refurbishes, upgrades, maintains and installs process tools for university cleanrooms, pilot lines and small fabs. What we do and how we work.
Our engineers help your staff by phone, video and, where your IT policy allows, a supervised remote session on the tool controller, often fixing a fault without a site visit.
Many faults on older tools can be diagnosed by someone who knows the platform, working with someone who is standing at it. A tool that will not start a recipe because one interlock is open, a pump-down that stalls at the same pressure every time, a recipe that was edited by mistake: these rarely need a flight or a long drive. Remote support for semiconductor equipment gets an engineer onto the problem without waiting for a visit, while your staff keep their hands on the tool.
When the fault does need on-site work, the remote session is still useful. By the time an engineer travels, the fault is narrowed to a subsystem and the likely parts can travel with the engineer.
Which form a request takes depends on the fault and on what your site allows:
We do not ask for permanent access to your network or tools. A remote session runs only when your side opens it, through the tool you choose and under your IT policy, and it ends when we are done. Your staff stay at the tool for anything that moves hardware, opens valves or switches power. Safety-relevant actions such as bypassing interlocks are never done remotely.
Many older tool controllers have no network connection at all, or run operating systems that your IT team will not connect. In that case we work by phone and video, and from files you copy off the controller.
A session usually ends in one of three ways. The fault is fixed during the call, usually by a setting, a reset sequence or a simple part swap your staff can do. The fault is narrowed to a part that we ship and your staff fit with our guidance. Or the fault needs an engineer on site, and we book a repair visit with the diagnosis already done.
After each session we write up the symptom, the steps taken and the result, and add it to the tool history. Patterns in remote calls feed into the maintenance plan: a fault that comes back three times becomes a task on the next preventive visit. Remote support is included in our service contracts up to an agreed scope, and is available as a paid session without one.
You describe the fault and send alarms, logs or photos by email or through your contract contact.
An engineer works through the fault with your staff by phone or video, step by step.
Where agreed, we view or operate the controller in a session your IT team opens and supervises.
We record the fix, or book a site visit with the parts the diagnosis points to.

No. Sessions are opened by your staff for a specific request, supervised from your side and closed when we finish. We work within your IT and security policy.
Many older controllers do not. We then work by phone or video with your staff at the tool, using screen photos and log files you send.
Yes, as a paid session. Under a service contract it is included up to the agreed scope.
Yes, within limits. We can review recipes, logs and test results and suggest where to look, but process development on your materials stays with your team.
