Who is responsible
SemiXperts, based in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, is the controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us about privacy at the email address on the contact page. This notice covers the website semixperts.com, the forms on it and the email conversations that follow from them. It does not cover the websites of equipment manufacturers or other parties we link to.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us or what is needed to deliver the website.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, and optionally your institution, country and topic.
- Quote request form: the same contact details, plus the equipment you are interested in, wafer size, process and facilities notes and timeline.
- Sell equipment form: your contact details and organisation, the manufacturer, model, year, condition and location of the tool, and your description of it.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
- Technical data: when a form is submitted, we record the time, the page it was sent from and the country derived from the network connection. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
Please do not send special categories of personal data (for example, health information) through the forms. We do not need them.

Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers that act as processors under a data processing agreement:
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and processes request data, including IP addresses, to do so.
- Sanity hosts our content management system, where form submissions are stored.
- An email or workflow service may forward form submissions to our inbox.
Some of these providers are based in, or use sub-processors in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We share data with other parties only when a job requires it, for example a freight forwarder that needs a delivery contact, or a government authority that requires end-user information for an export licence.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to two years after our last contact, so we can follow up on the same tool or request.
- Customer and supplier records connected to a sale or service job: for as long as Dutch tax law requires, currently seven years.
- Export control records: for the period required by the applicable export rules.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a copy in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and you can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time using the link in each issue or by emailing us.
Send requests to the email address on the contact page. We reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
